We have very proudly been the entertainment supplier for the JustGiving Awards since 2019, and have watched the event grow to very exciting heights since then. The after party is always great fun and promises an awesome crowd of people that includes the inspiring award winners who all coming with utterly fascinating stories.
For the 4th year running we have provided the band for the award stings, which involves ​about 28 short stings per ceremony, of very unpredictable length. Some are no more than 5 seconds, and some over 30 if someone is collecting an award at a distance from the stage, so it can be quite a challenge making sure the stings end punchily, perfectly in time with the recipients arrival at the microphone. With experience though we've honed this to a point where​ our inclusion in the awards has managed to really elevate the energy of this amazing annual event!

For 3 years running, we have been requested back to this 1000 person post-peak event. To perform to such an party-driven multi-cultural crowd at the prestigious venue, Troxy, has been a real privilege. And 2024 marked our first instance of being invited to perform at a 2nd regional party for Amazon of the year, with us now covering both London and Essex.
With a reasonably sized African contingent at the event, we add a lot of Afrobeats music to our performance which always goes down a storm with all the guests. But with such a diverse crowd it is really important that we play a bit of everything, which we can a little bit flexible on the night, so we can react to what is going down best each year.

Having a larger sized band performing with carte-blanche on set list, paired with Troxy's incredible in-house sound system makes this gig an annual highlight for us. And as it takes place in February it gives us a perfect opportunity to check in on updating our contemporary set list offerings.

Curating entertainment for networking events requires most thought than perhaps what it is sometimes given. After all, people are there primarily for the principle purpose of networking. If the entertainment is overly obstructive to the networking, it can jar with the event. Though, at the same time, an event with a complete absence of entertainment can feel stale. For that reason, acts that only fleetingly require your delegates attention fit best. It may be a head-turning act such as Fortissimi, where they may seamlessly fit in the background but still provide memorable moments and a great vibe, or in this case a roaming band which can approach pockets of guests and provide impactful ice-breaker moments and then swiftly move away to another group and leave that group to continue networking.

Performing on the same day as an England game is always a challenge, particularly when the team have played badly and the result didn't go our way! At this event we had two opportunities to motivate the guests to forget the game and enjoy the party. Our Soho Jazz instrumental trio did a fabulous job of warming up the guests with some sunny vibes during the drinks reception. It was then the turn of the Showband to perform 2 pumping sets of party music; by the end of the night all was most definitely forgotten as far as disappointing football results goes...

With a lead time of 6 days, this was a great fun to be invited to perform at with little notice. The task was to put on a great show for about 1000 delegates after a 3-day conference launching their financial year.

We performed a varied set of modern music including Hip Hop, EDM and some mainstream pop. There were two specific requests that we learnt for them which were 'Bounce' by Calvin Harris, to which they released giant balls into the crowd and then 'Fireball' by Pitbull, which luckily didn't involve real fireballs...

Probably the biggest challenge on this event was persuading the delegates to abandon the first sunny day in literally 2 months to come in and party, but fortunately well-known DJ Afishal warmed us up with his amazing LED set allowing us to start with a bang.

The contract loss of the much anticipated, yet ill-fated Ocean Diva, meant that the event had to be shifted at the last minute to the much smaller Silver Sturgeon boat. Working with the planners to quickly negotiate the loading + safety complexities of engineering 2 bands on a moving boat. Once sorted, we set about programming the entertainment for the bond-themed event to give the guests a night to let their hair down. The guests were welcomed onto the boat by Fortissimi who had prepared a string of James Bond songs before launching into their normal set. They were followed by the 8 piece Soho City Collective who made waves with a 90 mins set to remember!
